Download the Latest Group Policy Template<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Go to the following documentation and download the following administrative templates.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-US\/troubleshoot\/windows-client\/group-policy\/create-and-manage-central-store#links-to-download-the-administrative-templates-files-based-on-the-operating-system-version\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Create and manage Central Store &#8211; Windows Client | Microsoft Learn<\/a>&nbsp;For illustrative purposes, the example in this case uses the Administrative Templates with version 1909.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"783\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ruianding.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/image-76.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-243\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"2-install-the-group-policy-template\">2. Install the Group Policy Template<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Go to your local active directory domain controller server, install the new administrative template you\u2019ve just downloaded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Default installation path will be:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>C:\\Program Files(x86)\\Microsoft Group Policy\n<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"464\" height=\"363\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ruianding.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/image-77.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-244\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"3-import-the-new-template-to-the-central-store\">3. Import the New Template to the Central Store<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Open file explorer go to this path:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>C:\\Windows\\SYSVOL\\sysvol\\&lt;your domain&gt;\\Policies\n<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>Create a new folder named&nbsp;<strong>PolicyDefinitions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"633\" height=\"395\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ruianding.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/image-78.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-245\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Copy all of the downloaded content in&nbsp;<strong>PolicyDefinitions<\/strong>&nbsp;folder, and paste the folder we just created.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ruianding.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/image-79.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-246\" width=\"738\" height=\"460\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Mark&nbsp;<strong>Do this for all current items &gt; Continue<\/strong>.
